Thanks to the help of Mindy, I feel like I might have a good start at getting the direction of my article. Instead of only focusing on new technologies found in the restaurant business, I am going to focus on the affect of technology with the experience of the consumer.
In today's society it seems that sometimes technology gets in the way of people's interaction with others. Often times I have noticed people at restaurants who go to eat with others, but spend most of their time interacting with their cell phones or other technology verses holding a conversation.
For my article, I want to explore new technology, such as ordering through an ipad, and getting others options on what they think about guests' interactions and if new technology would change it.
As for interviews, I know a few people who work in the restaurant business. I want to contact them and see if they would be willing to help me find people to interview. One of my friends works at Genghis Grill and I am going to contact her for sure. I think an interview with someone from Genghis Grill would definitely add to my story since they would have first-hand experience with new forms of technology and witnessing how others react to it.
